Panchakarma

Panchakarma is a super-specialty clinical department dealing with Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana, and Bahirparimarjana therapies, for complete cleansing of the system. It trains BAMS students and PG scholars, from paediatric to geriatric applications.

The department has procedure models, specimens, charts and a departmental library. With an MD (Ayurveda) Panchakarma programme on campus, it carries out research on the principles and applications of Panchakarma.

A well-equipped Panchakarma theatre treats patients at OPD and IPD level, with special executive, semi-special and general wards.
